A huge thank you to all participants in last night’s motorcade for our senior athletes. Their final season may not have happened, but we didn’t forget them. We gave them a night to remember with a special motorcade, led by Sheriff Barry Curtis and his deputies, followed by the senior athletes and local fire departments.
When Mrs. Martin mentioned the idea of the event to Sheriff Barry Curtis, he was onboard immediately. He and many of his deputies proudly displayed signs on their vehicles saying they were a "Proud Graduate of NHS, Class of ??".
The motorcade was following by the lighting of the baseball and softball fields at 20:20 (8:20 pm) and the fields were lit for 20 minutes. The evening ended with fireworks!
If you missed it, WABI TV plans to have a full story on tonight’s 6:00 news.
